FP3 - Vettel fastest in rain-hit Spielberg

Sebastian Vettel finished P1 at the final practice session at Spielberg ahead of qualifying. Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen followed on the top three.

Just before the start we learned Jenson Button joins Alonso, Kvyat and Ricciardo in the penalty-list, after a full power unit change for his McLaren.

Onto the session, there were many soft tire runs in the first half, and Ferrari confirmed their pace matching Mercedes up front, up until Alonso parked his car on the main straight - resulting in a red flag.

Shortly after, the skies opened and by the time the track was green, it was raining hard, and cars opted to go back into the pits on their outlap.

Various messages asked for "caution" by the drivers, and a few ventured out in the final minutes, including both Sergio Perez, Nico Hulkenberg, Max Verstappen, Carlos Sainz, and Sebastian Vettel, which confirmed it was "very slippery".

By the end it was another 1-3 by Ferrari, and the uncertainty of the rain for the upcoming qualifying. Who can claim the Austrian pole? Find out in two hours.
