Celebrating Racing History at Silverstone: Officina Caira Brings 36 Iconic Cars to the British Grand Prix

During the 2025 British Grand Prix weekend, Officina Caira proudly celebrated the golden era of motorsport by bringing 36 legendary Formula 1 and historic race cars to Silverstone, including 16 spectacular machines that roared to life on track throughout the event.

Renowned globally for its expert restoration and preservation of F1 history, Officina Caira invited fans to get up close to some of the sport’s most iconic cars and experience the sights, sounds, and stories that defined generations of racing.

Adding to the excitement, Heinz-Harald Frentzen signed the Caira Wall and spent time alongside fellow F1 greats including Damon Hill, Johnny Herbert, Martin Brundle, Ivan Capelli, Eddie Irvine, John Watson, and Martin Donnelly, turning the paddock into a reunion of legends.

Among the standout cars thrilling the crowds were:

  • 1960 Cooper T53-F2-8-60 — Driven by David Brabham in honor of his father, Jack Brabham.

  • 1971 McLaren M19A

  • 1973 Lotus 72E — A masterpiece of classic Lotus engineering.

  • 1977 Lotus 78 — The revolutionary ground-effect pioneer.

  • 1981 Lotus 88B — The radical double-chassis design.

  • 1982 Arrows A4 — Two examples running!

  • 1987 Williams FW11B — Part of Zak Brown’s personal collection.

  • 1989 Arrows A11

  • 1989 Jordan/Reynard F3000 89D — Celebrating the Jordan legacy.

Beyond the live-action spectacle, fans were welcomed into Officina Caira’s exclusive hospitality area, where 20 more historic race cars were on static display — perfect for photos, stories, and reliving the magic of racing’s golden days.
