Hamilton beats Rosberg to win in Canada

Lewis Hamilton led from start to finish to take his 4th win at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, ahead of Nico Rosberg and Valtteri Bottas. It’s 14 straight podiums for the briton now - third longest streak (Schumacher 19, Alonso 15).

"I love Montreal… I love this track. Really just a fantastic weekend; great to get back on the top step. Did I need this? I think so" said Hamilton on the podium to Sky’s Ted Kravitz.

Williams’s Valtteri Bottas finished third ahead of Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen, taking advantage of Raikkonen’s spin at the hairpin following a pit stop.

After both Finns came arguably the most exciting two drivers today: Sebastian Vettel and Felipe Massa. Vettel came back from 18th on the grid, Massa did so from 15th.

Good day for the Lotuses too, as Pastor Maldonado picks up his first season points in sixth, and Romain Grosjean completed the top ten - with a 5s penalty included.

Not such a good weekend for McLaren, with both cars retired, and Fernando Alonso showing frustration on the radio: "I don’t want to; I either race or save fuel" he said, also claiming they 'look like amateurs'. The other race DNF was Manor’s Roberto Merhi.
