Red Bull Showrun Thrills San Francisco Waterfront
On February 21, 2026, the streets of San Francisco were transformed into a spectacular motorsport arena as the Red Bull Showrun presented by Ford Racing delivered an unforgettable exhibition along Marina Boulevard.
Set against the iconic backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco Bay, thousands of fans gathered to witness the sights, sounds, and raw energy of Formula 1 and high-performance motorsport machinery up close, entirely free and open to the public.
The crowd erupted as Yuki Tsunoda unleashed the Oracle Red Bull Racing Formula 1 car through the waterfront streets, while Scott Speed showcased the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls machine in a series of dramatic high-speed runs.
Off-road specialist Mitch Guthrie Jr. brought Dakar-inspired performance to the city streets aboard the Ford Raptor T1+, and freestyle motorcycle star Aaron Colton thrilled spectators with gravity-defying stunt riding displays.
Additional demonstrations from the Ford Mustang GT3 and the all-electric F-150 Lightning SuperTruck highlighted the breadth of Ford Performance’s modern racing and performance programs.
The day began with a celebratory parade featuring the drivers, riders, and machines before Marina Boulevard erupted into a sequence of burnouts, drifting demonstrations, donuts, and live Formula 1 exhibition runs that echoed across the waterfront.
Among the special guests attending the event was Daniel Lurie, who experienced the action firsthand. After taking a high-speed ride alongside Mitch Guthrie Jr. in the Ford Raptor T1+, Mayor Lurie praised both the event and the city itself.
“We got to show off great cars. But more importantly, at least for me as Mayor, we got to show off how beautiful San Francisco is. We do big events really well here in this city. We welcome big events. We welcome fun. We welcome excitement.”
The Red Bull Showrun further reinforced the Bay Area’s growing reputation as a destination capable of hosting major international sporting and entertainment events, blending elite motorsport with fan accessibility in one of America’s most iconic urban settings.
