2026 Bahrain GP at Sepang Posters

Formula 1 makes a remarkable return to Sepang for the 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix, bringing the championship back to Malaysia for the first time since 2017. Originally scheduled to take place in Bahrain in April, the Grand Prix was postponed before Formula 1 and the FIA reached an agreement for the event to be held at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia from October 2–4.

Sepang is one of the most distinctive circuits of the modern Formula 1 era. Designed by Hermann Tilke and opened in 1999, its 5.543-kilometer layout combines long straights with fast, flowing corners and demanding technical sections. The circuit hosted the Malaysian Grand Prix 19 times between 1999 and 2017, producing many memorable races and becoming a favorite among drivers and fans alike.

The return to Sepang gives the 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix an unusual character. While the event retains its Bahrain identity, its setting is unmistakably Malaysian, with Sepang's tropical surroundings, intense humidity, and ever-present possibility of heavy rain adding another dimension to the weekend. The result is a unique chapter in the history of both the Bahrain Grand Prix and the Sepang International Circuit.

The unusual circumstances of the 2026 event have also inspired a diverse collection of artwork. Teams, fans, artists, designers, and promoters have found their own ways to interpret a Bahrain Grand Prix unlike any previous edition, combining the identity of the Middle Eastern race with the distinctive character of Sepang and Malaysia.
